WHO AM I?

Having worked all my adult life in a sheet metal shop I have learned a few things. Some of these things may be because I have aged and gained biases toward the field in general or because I have experienced the biases first hand.
First, in my opinion because of the sheet metal tinning shop I started in, tinning is a dead trade. The definition of tinning is to cover something with a thin layer of tin. This process is deeply satisfying to me and has given me an unspoken love of copper as can be seen by most of my pictures. That being said it is increasingly difficult to find someone who still uses this process.
Welding is a process of melting two like or similar metals together and is a much newer process of metal working to me. However I have taken to it as well as it provides a much better joining of two pieces of work. It has also become just as satisfying to do in recent years.
Mechanical joining I would describe as the process of riveting metals together. This is also deeply satisfying as it requires very little skill other than operating hand tools.
Hopefully in describing all of this to you I have given you insight into my processes and even more so into my passions. I am always willing to take on new challenges and fear never stands in my way. Of course fear, apprehension, and anxiety are ever present in my more exploratory journeys of sheet metal work but I aim to provide the best costumer service I am able to while spreading my passion on to the next generation and anyone else who would be willing to follow.
